20/05/2014 - Umberto Genovese, a 23 years old biomedical engineering student at Politecnico di Milano, born at Castelfranco Veneto (Treviso), driver (never run before) and Martina Scamperle, a 27 years old mechanical engineering graduate at "Università di Padova", co-driver (she hasn't run before either), are the winners of the first edition of Rally Italia Talent, which finished last weekend on the International Circuit of Friuli Venezia Giulia at Precenicco (Lignano Sabbiadoro).

The initiative, which aims to find new talents to introduce into the world of rallying, has been a great success and now the duo Genovese-Scamperle, can enjoy the prize offered by ACI, and will take part in the forthcoming Rally Italia Sardegna which will take place beginning of June, in an Abarth 500 R3T with n. 55.

Rally Italy Talent was strongly supported by the President of Automobile Club of Italy, Angelo Sticchi Damiani, and had the patronage of the FIA ​​Action for Road Safety granted directly by President Jean Todt. A great success with nearly 5,000 entrants in only 4 weeks, coming from all over Italy.

Due to the very good outcome of the first edition, entries for the second edition will open on June 30th. A new edition which will bring novelties and surprises, aiming to provide new opportunities for young people who want to approach the wonderful world of Rallying.
