Car #3 K. Meeke / P. Nagle: "It was a pity we ruined a wheel hitting a rock in the first part of the Monte Lerno stage. The rear right tire had a slow puncture and so we lost two minutes".
Car #21 M. Prokop / J. Tomanek: "I made too much mistakes in the first loop. I didn't have the right setup and that is the reason I couldn't go any faster. We should have done better".
Car #40 N. Al-Attiyah / G. Bernacchini: "It is good till now. At the start we had a little misfare on the engine but then it was OK. In the long stage shame for Al Rajhi. I feel sorry for him. He crashed but he is OK. We pushed in a good way and we managed well the long stage. Now we have a good lead. We try to finish without problems. At Monte Lerno there are many stones and it is a very tough stage, we have to go for a wise driving".
Car #6 E. Evans / D. Barritt: "Everything's went well this morning. I tried to manage tires in a good way. Hard work at Monte Lerno. Not so bad in the first half, but very difficult in the second. I drove to the splits of Martin Prokop. Now we try to do well in the afternoon".
Car #10 R. Kubica / M. Szczepaniak: "No problem this morning. Monte Lerno stage was good and there was better grip than expected and that gave me confidence. In the afternoon the stage will be rougher".
Car #20 H. Paddon / J. Kennard: "I have problems with pace notes and I can not drive like I would".
Car #9 A. Mikkelsen / O. Floene: "Everything's fine. Race goes on, let's see if I will be able to pass Ostberg for a Volkswagen 1-2-3".
Car #7 T. Neuville / N. Gilsoul: "I am driving well but I need more grip in the long stage, really nice. I tried to adapt to the conditions but I wasn't comfortable. It should go better in the afternoon".
Car #4 M. Ostberg / J. Andersson: "Monte Lerno was hard. Tires were overheating and the car was moving so much. I could go a lot faster but I didn't have the confidence. Anyway, the morning was good. My times are holding back Mikkelsen".
Car #37 L. Bertelli / M. Dotta: "Good time in the first stage despite my engine switched off. Then we had a problem with my co-driver seatbelts. I wanted to stop but soon yellow flags neutralized the stage allowing us to finish without problem".
Car #2 J.-M. Latvala / M. Anttila: "We had overheating on the engine in the Monte Lerno stage. A problem that we will try to fix. It should be a software or a sensor issue. We lost some time. It could have been only 5 instead of 11 seconds but it is OK. The only thing is that we can not relax at all but I am confident".
Car #1 S. Ogier / J. Ingrassia: "I lost a couple of seconds on the Monte Lerno stage when we had information that Jari-Matti had stopped so we backed off a bit. But then we heard he was moving, so we could have been faster. This morning Latvala did a great work in first stage and I am doing my best. I will fight for the win because I can close the gap, but taking in mind that 18 points are better than zero". |
