|SUNDAY, JUNE 8
|DRIVERS QUOTES AFTER PW17 CALA FLUMINI
|Car #37 L. Bertelli / M. Dotta: "It could not be better, it is fantastic. In this one we just did the Sunday driver, in the future we will push all the way through. We will see for the future, I am happy for everything now".
Car #3 - K. Meeke / P. Nagle: "It is still quite slippery to be honest, for sure it will be cleaner for the guys behind. There are some ruts which help you around the corners but there's not really a hard base.
But I am happy, even if it has been a little bit difficult, not the result we wanted. I will bring home experience ".
Car #7 - T. Neuville / N. Gilsoul: "Much better than this morning but there is still some cleaning to be done. Guys behind are going to be faster as conditions will be better but I am happy I did my best. The team has still a lot to learn, but we have seen a lot of interesting pace".
Car #20 - H. Paddon / J. Kennard: "It has been a very challenging weekend, it was still great to get some valuable mileage. The pace has not been quite what we wanted but it has still been a good fun. We have a couple of weeks to go ahead of Poland, I am expecting a lot more there".
Car #12 - K. Al Qassimi / C. Patterson: "Well, I spun in one of the corners I hit the wall, had to reverse. We were just lucky. It was very close in the last two stages, we went over the wall in the last one. We were actually hanging: we thought it was over. We managed to get it back on track".
Car #10 - R. Kubica / M. Szczepaniak: "Mixed rally but 90% of the rally has been positive, the most important thing is pleasure of driving and I got that on gravel. To be honest I was looking forward to Poland but now I am looking forward to next run on gravel there but I am still learning. Poland will be a great event for us and for fans, we are looking forward to it. Hopefully we will get a good run through all the stages".
Car #16 - H. Solberg / L. Minor: "It has been OK, I am happy. I do not think I could go much faster in these conditions. I made it to the end so I am very very happy. I am working on Rally Poland with some sponsors to try and be there".
Car #21 - M. Prokop / J. Tomanek: "It was OK we were just trying to make it to the finish to get some points. I am really happy with the improvement and it is good news for the future. Next race is much much faster, so we will see I hope we can find some good grip there too. Friday was the best day on a world rally car but I really need to work to be a bit more relaxed for the whole weekend".
Car #6 - E. Evans / D. Barritt: "It is completely different from last year, feeling a lot more at home with the car. We are happy with the progress we made, a solid finish. It is important to get the mileage now, we will get faster later on. It is going in the right direction but we need to keep pushing forward. I am happy for this weekend".
Car #9 - A. Mikkelsen / O. Floene: "I was OK, not perfect as I had a couple of moments. A great rally to start for me and Ola. We're working really, really well and it can only get better throughout the season. I really like Poland, we see what we can do there".
Car #2 - J.M. Latvala / M. Anttila: "The first stage was not so great but then we got good speed, on Saturday we had a problem with a suspension and a brake problem. Then I hit a rock and had to change the wheel. Today I tried to catch Mads and had a good run but maybe I used my tires too much".
Car #4 - M. Ostberg / J. Andersson: "It has been a very good weekend and we managed to do everything we wanted, it is fantastic to finish second. I am very very happy. I am very pleased with this, it is fantastic to get to the end with a strong result in such a difficult rally. We have made very good things thanks also to the team, all the decisions worked really well".
Car #1 - S. Ogier / J. Ingrassia: "Great feeling, I had to push hard. It has been difficult to open the way on day one, but then it went great. We managed to put pressure on Jari-Matti yesterday and now we have won. Really good feeling winning this race. It is good for the championship, we need to carry on like this. There is no time to relax because Jari-Matti is going well".
